Subject: [NTLUG:Discuss] Sound for Intel 845GLLY

Terry asked that I run aumix. It shows Vol at midrange, and so far as I
understand, all controls were intuitively correct (at midrange).

Under Gnome Applications->Preferences->Sound I picked several sound
events (wav files) and clicked "play." No sound at all.

Somebody on LinuxQuestions.org suggests using alsamixer, which I'll try.

John
