[NTLUG:Discuss] Remote X stopped working.

On several machines both at home and at work, since being upgraded to
SuSE 9.1 or 9.2, the following procedure no longer works:

   On machineA:

   % xhost +
   access control disabled, clients can connect from any host
   % ssh myname at machineB

   On machineB:

   % export DISPLAY=machineA:0.0
   % xcalc
   Error: Can't open display: machineA:0.0
   %

I can 'ping' machineA from machineB - both are static IP (although
it doesn't work with DHCP either).

This always used to work OK - but since upgrading it does not.

What gives?

(Yes, I know we should be more restrictive than "xhost +" - I'm just
making up an example here.  Also, it's not just 'xcalc' - it could be
any X program).
