Glad it's working but I have a question? I went out and looked at
WebMin. It says it supports changing passwords. Were you using WebMin
to change the passwords? Or *nix commands?
The reason I ask is I have had similar experiences with third party
programs that put a lock on the passwd and shadow files as well as
others. In all cases I was forced to make a decision as to how I was
going to administer those functions going forward. Either use the
third party product or the *nix built-in. We settled on "sudo" as the
best fit for our situation for just the user access function. It did
not affect other admin functions.
It would be nice if WebMin allowed you to pick the features of WebMin
you want to use and turn others off.
