Yeah - I forgot about that. I'm British and I get a lot of
DVD's of British TV shows that won't play on my home theatre
system. Fans of Japanese anime are also big enthusiasts of
region-free viewing.
Also, all DVD's have one track that's flagged as non-interruptable
that's supposed to be used for copyright messages and such (your
home DVD player won't let you skip that section or go directly to the
menu). I've found an increasing number of DVD's have movie previews
packed onto that track so you are forced to watch through them every
time you want to watch the movie. (Disney seem to be big-time offenders).
With the Linux players, you can skip that track.
