Not necessarily. CentOS follows the RH structures and so there is often an
-devel- rpm, eg. gd-2.x.y.rpm and gd-devel-2.x.y.rpm.

Subject: [NTLUG:Discuss] Comple Problems With Guarddog
I'm sure this is a dumb question but I'm stumped.
I'm trying to compile guarddog 2.4 for my system running CentOS 3.3 for
x86_64. I get the following error message:
checking for KDE... configure: error:
in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE libraries installed. This will
fail.
So, check this please and use another prefix!
I get the same message when attempting to rebuild an RPM of guarddog 2.2 for
RH9. What am I doing wrong? All of the devel files for KDE and Qt are
installed so the libraries and headers should be there, right?
If anyone knows the location of a RHEL RPM for guarddog 2.4 that would be
even better than the answer to the quesiton.
