[NTLUG:Discuss] OT Mozilla 1.7.5 bookmarks disappear

Mozilla 1.7.5 on MDK 9.1
I can bookmark pages, and find them listed in bookmarks, and they do
work.  The problem is the bookmarks clear (go away) every time I close
the browser.  Any clues?  Thank you in advance for any help you may be
able to offer.

BTW, Galeon 1.3.3 on the same box is not experiencing the same problem.

Interesting side note:  Galeon (and 1.3 is apparently their latest) only 
works well if run with the same Mozilla it is compiled with - which 
might explain the printing problem (from Galeon) that has just started, 
perhaps with the install of Mozilla 1.7.5 (from *.tar.gz - was that a 
mistake?)? - maybe not connected.  At any rate, attempting to print from 
Galeon is now crashing the browser.  Rock solid, eh?

One won't save bookmarks,and the other won't print - impressive, you 
say?  Oh, well, you might add, still better than the other brand.
