A quick test would be to download the latest knoppix iso image and burn
it to CD. Then boot from it and see what your display looks like. If it
is on par with the XD display look in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
or /etc/X11/XF86Config and see what settings they are using.
I suspect it will work nicely now.
