[NTLUG:Discuss] Problem with Fedora Core 3 Kernel 2.6.9-1.724_FC3

Is anyone else having a problem with the 2.6.9-1.724_FC3 kernel?

The problem I am having is the screen locking up after a short period of use.
When this happens the Caps Lock and Scroll Lock lights start flashing together.

I have tried this kernel twice with two different Fedora Core 3 configurations.
I have had to back this kernel out and run with the previous kernel
(2.6.9-1.667) in the current configuration.
The previous configuration was a "dist-upgrade", or maybe it was just
an "upgrade" since I used yum, from Fedora Core 2. That configuration
ran fine until I got the 2.6.9-1.724_FC3 kernel. When it started
locking up I backed it out and ran with the previous kernel. I kept
re-installing it on every update and it kept locking up. I finally
blew it away and re-installed from CD.
The current configuration is Fedora Core 3 installed from the CD's
with a lot more packages installed (Apache server for one).

I have not seen anything on the Web about problems with this kernel,
in the places I know to look.
