[NTLUG:Discuss] do you want to configure your monitor geometry manually

Howdy,
I am migrating another machine from Windows to Linux and I came across
a new problem. It is a slimline case with no room for a normal CD, so I
wanted to do a net install of some Linux(mostly for playing real audio
streams and recorded talks. I used SuSE 9.1, since the 9.2 won't be
online until January. I am using KDE, because I want the built in vnc
to start automatically. Every time I start the machine, I get a dialog
titled:
Question - SUSE Hardware Tool which asks
Do you want to configure your monitor geometry manually?

I select no, but it asks every time I boot. I have removed the
CheckGeometry option from /etc/X11/XF86Config and that did not help. I
have gone to every site google suggested and nothing helped. Does
anyone have a suggestion? I may have to switch to Gnome, but the vnc is
not built in before version 2.8, so that may lead me to trying to do a
network install of Ubuntu. I am hoping there is some little config
option somewhere I have missed.
Have a great day,
