[NTLUG:Discuss] Easy (for someone besides me) shell script question

How do i get the working path of a script?
Or how does the script know where it is?
#!/bin/sh
echo `pwd`

Produces the correct output if im in that directory,but if im in /usr i of 
course get /usr.
I just want to echo back the path of the script.
