NVidia won't bother if they have a well-selling solution.

The FX5200 AGP is a big seller.
So why would nVidia introduce an AGP bridged 6200?
Especially when enthusiasts are willing to expend $300-500 for a 6800 series to get performance.
Even the AGP bridged 6600GT is looking like a mistake.
It cost almost as much as a 6800, and the new 6800LE seems to be a better buy for the price.

Going reverse, PCIe systems are still few.
Hence why demand for PCIe bridged 6800s aren't selling.

So here's the deal:
$100 6200 PCIe
$150 6600 PCIe
$200 6600GT PCIe
$250 6800LE AGP
$300 6800 AGP
$400 6800GT AGP
$500 6800 Ultra AGP

If you want performance, AGP does fine.
If you want "middle of the road," PCIe looks better with 6600s,
especially when building a new system,
or "future-proofing" a new upgrade.

And if you want to spend $50-60,
just buy a GeForce4 Ti.
But not a GeForce FX 5200.
(and not a GeForce4 MX either - they are like the old GeForce2).

Unfortunately that is not a native PCI-Express chipset, they used the
bridge. There are a couple of options on the PCI-Express 6800GT/Ultras,
they are just not available to purchase. When I have seen them in stock,
it is usually for less than 1 day, and at prices $100-$300 over suggested
retail.
There was rumor of a native PCI-Express chipset in the 6700 or 6900 which
would simply be a slightly modified 6800 chip, same performance, but lower
cost for nvidia to produce, and at higher yields. Latest rumor is this
chip has been cancelled. It will be interesting to see what nvidia does on
their high end.
