OK so I am a novice Network'er. I have a Windows XP Home box, Red Hat
Fedora Core 2 Box, and a SuSe Laptop that I am trying to network. I am
using Samba. Pulled the How To off the system, very handy, but somehow I
am missing something. I have a Linksys Wireless B Router with the NAT
set up connecting the systems to the internet.
I have Samba set up with the simplest settings /etc/samab/smb.conf from
the How To as a start. Ran testparm and found everything is running
fine. Pulled up the network on the XP box and found the Samba Server...
hi'ever; I cannot get the share to pull up. I cannot seem to access the
Samba Server at all; getting a error 53. I used fish:// and Smb:// on my
Suse box in Konq' and could not find any shares. I am assuming that I am
doing something silly (being a novice), or maybe it is the Router that
is causing the problems. Any ideas?
Thanks for any help!
All just a learning process.
