We have several of the AIR-PCI350 cards in use in a couple of router
type boxes.
Linux support is great, and it has has support for it since 2.2 kernels.
They are very stable. We are using some other cards also ( atheros
chipset ),
and they work also, but need some help sometimes getting the driver
working.
The SMC cards work with most distros, and get great range for a laptop.

That's powerful!
There's also a Cisco PCI card, AIR-pci350, that's pretty powerful and
although I've yet to try one, should work well with linux. The manual
boasts a whopping 100mw power output, (which is still more than most):
