OK, I installed the 256 MB of main memory on my IBM 600E laptop.  This gets
me past the message saying that I must have 256 MB of memory.

Now I get a message saying "Loading Linux Kernel" and a percentage bar.
When the percentage bar reaches 100%, the screen goes active "black" (as
opposed to turned off "black") and the laptop locks up completely.

Any ideas?
