You are right... I believe the same thing.. Especially in Ham Radio.. One 
brand can have 3 models that kick ass in a row and then WHAM! a real dog 
comes out..

For wireless, I have been pointing people to the senao 200mw device.. I 
wouldn't touch a netgear wireless anything....

For wireless nics, I like the orinco cards...
