The three ip addresses are the three DNS servers your ISP (or whomever is providing you with your ip information) has defined.

A lot of times slow X-based apps mean that the app can't resolve the hostname "localhost."  But it doesn't appear to be the case with you.  Can you post your /etc/hosts file?

Has anything changed on your laptop recently?

What is the output of "xhost?"
