I won't say that any distrib is the best, I promise ;)
I left RH behind way back at 6.0 because I didn't feel that they acted
in my best interest in their approach to upgrades. They made their
choice and I made mine, that's just the way of freedom of choice.
I went to Mandrake then and I'm still with Mandrake. If you're a RH
user looking to change, Mandrake should be a pretty smooth transition.
At least in the past they were RH and RPM centric and I think they
pretty much still are. Mandrake will not run on x386 hardware since
they build everything for Pentium cpu. Some people think Mandrake is
not suitable for servers since the default install is workstation
oriented. However, if you know what you're looking for all the pieces
for a server are there.
