Credentials are for when you need to prove your worth to someone.
If you have the initiative to start your own business, develop your own
software or do something else that sells yourself, you don't need
anything else.
With a BS in Engineering, and over 40 IT certifications passed in less
than 17 months at enormous personal expense (despite $0 spent on
training), I'm done with the technology "Rat Race." I've moved to
secondary education and have _never_ looked back.
Other than the fact that when I'm done with my MA in Education next
summer, I'm going to look into maybe teaching at the technical/community
college level.
