I know there are some evil TNT2 based cards... so
possibly. Mostly just ones that don't have the
extra slit on the connector for the AGP slot.
Typical of OEM boards for Compaq and IBM workstations
in particular.
We have run AS2.1 on Compaq machines with cheapo
Quadro boards (not much different from the MX440), but
I haven't seen any problem. I have not tried any
8x version though. Maybe that's part of the problem.
8x seems pretty meaningless on an MX440... what a
strange config (?).
