[NTLUG:Discuss] Stupid spam question

This may sound stupid, but lately I've been getting a lot of spam with a
bunch of words just in random order at the bottom.  Or a quote of some
story paragraph or book paragraph that doesn't appear to have anything
at all to do with the content of the spam.

What's the point of that?  Is it supposed to confuse programs like
Spamassassin?  Will Spamassassin have any problems dealing with that
type of message?
