If it is just PPPoE, I have that set up on Linux with the
roaring penguin PPPoE.

It is installed on RH9 by default.

Here is what I did:

run adsl-setup and aswer these questions:
  Login name: The login given to you by your ISP
  Interface: eth0 (Should be able to just hit return)
  Do you want the link to come up on demand: no (Should be able to just
hit return)
  DNS: server
  Password: Enter the password given to you by your ISP
  Re-enter password: Enter the password again
  Allow normal users to start or stop the DSL connetion: no
  Firewall: 0 (We will set this up later)
  Start the connection at boot time: yes
  On the confirmation prompt, type y and hit return

vi /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ppp0
and set these values (You will have to add the DEMAND line):
PPPOE_TIMEOUT=80
LCP_FAILURE=9
LCP_INTERVAL=20
DEMAND=no

/sbin/reboot

And things worked fine.

Let me know if I can be any more help,
	Neil
