[NTLUG:Discuss] Remote Access While Traveling

I am trying to set up dial-up access to the corporate LAN/WAN for while
I am traveling. My attempts with minicom are apparently getting to what
they call "hperarc" which is only for admins. They say I am bypassing
the radius sever. Their suggestion "Do you have anything equivalent to
a Microsoft Dial Up Networking...?" Could they be talking about a PPP
dialer? Or is it something else?

OS: Mandrake 9.1
Desktop: Gnome 2.2

Hyperterminal only gets us admins in, as is confirmed by the output you
sent me. You are connecting directly to the hiperarc card which we only
use for management. You are not hitting the radius server to authenticate,
hence the failed authentication.

Do you have anything equivalent to a Microsoft Dial Up Networking
connection you could try?
