[NTLUG:Discuss] OT: Local computer shops

I've got a friend who is looking to buy a computer, but he doesn't want
one from a large company such as Dell.  He says he doesn't trust them to
make a reliable machine.

Can anyone recommend a local shop (preferably one in Irving or nearby)
that builds computers to order?  Are there any shops I should steer him
away from?  I guess this isn't the forum for a long discussion about
this topic, so perhaps it would be best if people emailed me off list.
