IIRC, those are GSM band. Sprint PCS does not have a GSM network.
My search is to find a mobile phone that I can sync CALENDAR info
to the computer and can be used with SPRINT. I don't care if it's
BlueTooth, WiFi, USB, or serial but I don't want to be required to
get additional service (such as "Vision plan"). The closest is the
Samsung i500 but a) it's $600 and b) Sanyo is reported to have a
much better signal handler. I don't want a PDA trying to be a phone
either (such as the Handspring Treo) - too bulky. I guess I've
searched long enough (and given up). Sprint simply doesn't want
people to have this ability for some reason. I see their competition
has phones that do what I'm asking.
So now my choices are to waste $600 on the Samsung (not likely),
go to the competition (they can't seem to beat the plan I have),
or continue to carry two gadgets (phone & PDA). I suppose a 4th
option is to get a watch that can sync calendar/alarm. Last time I
looked (years ago) they all looked klunky and required M$.
Thanks everyone. I request this topic be taken off the list as
it isn't even vaguely Linux related anymore.
