[NTLUG:Discuss] partition question

When I tried install the RH 9.0  on old DELL computer. the box has 4 scsi 
hard drive. When I try to partition the drive use Diskdurik, I always get 
free on the file system on one of the partition (the file system can not be 
assigned). It seems to me that I can not use that part of partition.
how do I fixed the problem (use all available spaces, no free space 
partition)?
see table below, /dev/sdb2 got no file system.  (not exactly show on the 
time I install, but similar)

Please note: the device name may not correct but similar to the my problem. 
same as values of end, blocks.

my point is I can not get the /dev/sdb2 to set up as Linux systems.
if I try to do it, the swap partition will goes to /dev/sda1, and sda has 2 
partitions.
