[NTLUG:Discuss] Help with rsync

I wish I could work nix to nix, but I don't make the decisions, I just
work around them. It's good to see someone else doesn't like cygwin, I
have had nothing but problems with it.

After running the command with -vvv the target machine magically
worked, and is continuing to work. Thanks for the help.

Try running rsync -vvv and capturing the output (and be prepared
for a LOT of debugging info). Also try just a *NIX-to-*NIX
rsync and see if it exhibits the same behavior.

My first instinct would be to blame cygwin. I know some people
need a UNIX-like environment within Windoze, but I personally
spit upon cygwin. ;) There's some (largely unavoidable)
deficiencies in the cygwin environment that UNIX-tailored apps
often have to work around.
