[NTLUG:Discuss] newbie needs help part two

Thanks once more for the help offered up to now!

My Dell Latitude CPi has a Neomagic MagicMedia 256AV sound card.  It is
not working.  I have Googled for this problem, but everything I have
read thusfar involves either Kernel compilation or dev. driver builds -
both of which are pretty much over my head right now.

Is there anything more "humble" I can do to get the soundcard up and
running?

What's more, why do my PCMCIA ports not work?  Related problems?
