I'd set it up to dual boot and make it so the kids have to pick from
something like Lilo. They'll crash the linux part alright, but ... their
curiosity will be peaked.

As for kids games.... I haven't had much luck other than to give them
win98. The munchkins are getting really aggravated with crashes, lockups
and having to reboot. 

If everyone starts pushing the kids games companies for linux versions,
they might listen. They're greedy and will sell to anything that is
perceived to be a market. Create the demand and not a work around.
