Start "Install software" (assuming you are running KDE..)

K menu -> configuration -> package management -> install software

x11 frontend.. as they obviously state.)

I believe the pcmia deamon will be active as soon as the rpm install is done,
but i don't have pcmcia on my desktop, so dunno, you may have to reboot.
After its active it should autodetect just like usb (or windows pcmcia) when
you insert a card.

I haven't run pcmcia on mandrake since 6.1, but way back then on my 486sx50,
it detected my 3com modems fine, but only saw my 3com nic+modem as a
ethernet. Thats ages (3.5 years?) ago, so it has litle to no relavence on the
current state of pcmcia support.
