OK, I've given it my best shot and FreeS/WAN was not worth the effort, 
especially since I have a real mix of users, from PhD's to bean 
counters.  You guys were right.  Its not worth my time.

I've been looking at SonicWall.  Anyone have any experience with them on 
Windows and Linux mixes?

We're Linux on the server side, and most of the laptops.  We have some 
Windows folks that need to get on as well, so I'm looking for a really 
brain-dead solution, partly because my brain is dead from trying to deal 
with FreeS/WAN and its lack of documentation, but mostly because the 
Windows users are bean counters types and barely know how to turn on 
their computers.
