This gets asked here allot, and over the past 6 months I have not seen a reply
from anyone who has got the PCMCIA cdrom to work for installation. I had to
copy the install files for Vector Linux to a separate one-gig partition and
install it from there. There must be a way to do that with Mandrake, making
a minimal installation, then use the cdrom to install other RPM's after it is
installed.
If everyone would write-up how they installed Linux on their machine (except
those of you who have bootable CDROM's) maybe we can work out a FAQ for this
item.
