Hrm...
I *am* confused. If I'm on host foo and I ssh into the host bar, when I run "env | grep DISPLAY," it says foo:0.0. In other words, $DISPLAY is set to the machine I'm sitting in front of, not the host I'm ssh'ing into.
What does /etc/hosts look like? Are you using dhcp to get your ip address?
