If you aren't going to be adding an amp to it, no you don't need to
worry.  A directional antenna should be more than enough for the range
you are talking with no amp.  The only problem would be the trees
depending on how many in the line of site.

AP with external antenna hookups should be no more than $200, and an
External yagi, or other directional antenana no more than $150 or so.

Yes, but if you are asking these questions...you probably need a bit
more experience in wireless before you take the plunge on a WISP.
