Best Buy will charge $24.95 for an estimate. Bring it to the PC Repair
counter
at any store (I work in Frisco on the weekends). They will send it off
to the
local service center (close to Grapevine Mills Mall) for
evaluation/repair.
Depending on what store you bring it to, they may encourage you to give
a $100 -
$125 pre-approved repair authorization. If it can be fixed for less
than your
pre-approved amount, they'll fix it and send it back, otherwise they'll
call
you with an updated estimate. The estimated return time should be about
3
weeks, but it may come back quicker (depending upon parts availability).
