[NTLUG:Discuss] Monitor Unsync

Hey,

I reckon whether the Horizontal and Vertical frequencies of your
monitor are changed in the stand-by mode when the screensaver gets
activated. Try adjusting the frequencies of your Monitor to lower values
than the current. Please refer to the Monitor documentation of the
monitor. If you can't figure anything out of it, consult some local
guru. Also, please be careful while assigning new values as incorrect
values could damage your monitor. You don't want to loose your new slick
monitor do you :)).

Thanks.
Harshal

Subject: [NTLUG:Discuss] Monitor Unsync

I bought a new lcd monitor and am running it with my mandrake 9.0.

A new problem has started though, while the screen saver is running -
the monitor "goes out of sync" is the best I can describe it. The whole
screen becomes an unrecognizable jumble.

Once it has happened while working but most of the time it is when I
come back after a while and I have seen the screen saver come up ok a
while before.

I have played around with the phase setting but that has not helped.

Another odd fact is that then the clock shows 5 hours too slow. I have
played around with the "system clock on greenwich" question but still
nothing I still get the 5 hours behind when it comes up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Pervaz
