[NTLUG:Discuss] On another note....

I am looking at converting my tower machines into rack mounted very 
shortly.  I have brought a "back up" board, processor, memory, etc. into 
the picture.  I only have ONE machine that uses an Intel based processor 
(didn't see the reason to by "big brother").  When I get down to this Intel 
machine, and I pull the hard drive to move it to a AMD based 
processor...what is going to happen?  Will the kernel do whatever it needs 
to do, and allow the OS (Red Hat 9.0) to boot...without problems?  I've 
already had a bunch of problems getting 9.0 to load as it is....but then 
again...I'm still learning Linux too!
