I am looking at converting my tower machines into rack mounted very
shortly. I have brought a "back up" board, processor, memory, etc. into
the picture. I only have ONE machine that uses an Intel based processor
(didn't see the reason to by "big brother"). When I get down to this Intel
machine, and I pull the hard drive to move it to a AMD based
processor...what is going to happen? Will the kernel do whatever it needs
to do, and allow the OS (Red Hat 9.0) to boot...without problems? I've
already had a bunch of problems getting 9.0 to load as it is....but then
again...I'm still learning Linux too!
