is that before or after you make a connection to the internet? 

if you use enter
hostname
what does it tell you? 

Can you ping the name that hostname returns? 

I am guessing that you get a dhcp address assigned. 

LPD is trying to use that as your hostname and it's 
not resolving correctly.
