[NTLUG:Discuss] DLT tape library, Arkeia, and Linux

I am looking at possibly using Arkeia (Knox Software) for
backup/recovery. The backup server would be running RH 7.1. Right now
I have an Overland LoaderXpress library (LXL7110 - DLT7000) connected
via SCSI to another UNIX machine (SGI IRIX 6.4), and the Intel box I was
thinking of using as a backup sever doesn't have any SCSI.

Does it seem reasonable to run the Linux box and the backup server with
the DLT it would be writing to on another box?
