[NTLUG:Discuss] RedHat 8.0 and Dual Video

Ok...I've gotta be so close I can taste it...or maybe it's just too late and
I'm delusional.!?!?

Here's the scenario:

I have a computer with two videos:
   Built on Intel 810i
     PCI Card - ATI All-in-Wonder 3DRageII+DVD

When I originally setup RedHat 8.0, I used the ATI card as my main display
(spefically since the 810i didn't have a monitor attached). Needing an
additional display, I pulled out an old monitor and attached it to the 810i
output. Then I started the research...in the /etc/X11 directory was my
working XF86Config file...and also one called XF86Config.Works_with_810i
(very cool!..BTW). So I 'glued' the two files into one - the resulting
XF86Config file listed below). When I rebooted, the ATI card carried the
main graphics, while the 810i remained black. I know it was working,
because I could move the mouse into it's display..and see the 'X' of the
mouse moving. I thought maybe I'd need to run Xinerama...so I did a 'init
3'...and restarted X with the command 'XFree86 +xinerama'....then I had two
black screens...(could move the 'X' over them both).

Ultimate Goal: Have it work auto-magically that both screens are 'joined'
(ie. double-wide). Any ideas?

Thanks - Dave
