That's what I'm looking to do.  Just ran to Fry's and got a 44 to 40 pin 
converter.  Hopefully, it'll do the trick.

If not, you may be hearing from me. :)

The hard drive is ok.  The power supply is bad.  Won't boot from ac 
adapter or battery.
