I turned off all the ACPI features in BIOS and it
still crashes. The last time it died I was in the
middle of reading /var/log/messages logs.
The information I get from the logs is that is is not
a software issue. The machine just stops working. By
default, my server checks cron every hour to see if
any jobs are scheduled. It is apparent that the
server stops checking cron the right after it crashes.
Plus the fact that I was in the middle of something
when it died. I have a sneaking suspicion that it is
hardware. One possibility is that it is somehow
overheating is causing a shutdown. The other that is
my motherboard is on life-support. Thanks for all
your help, guys.
