  MY OPINION, best thing to do is the following.  I know it works :)


  unmount cdrom

  dd if=/dev/hdc  of=/cdimage.iso

  (assuming cdrom is drive hdc)

  This copies everything verbatim, including errors, so start with a good 
cdrom!  the resultant ISO file is burnable with windows and linux cd 
burning programs.
