[NTLUG:Discuss] database(s) on Linux

We run two Oracle databases in production, one is < 10 GB and the other
is < 18 GB. Are those big?
My thought was to explore alternative database products, free or
commercial, on Linux, rather than just assume we were already using the
best for our situation. I know "investment in what we have" is a heavy
reason to keep doing more of the same, but "we keep doing the same thing
and expecting different results" is also true.
