Yahoo recently released a new version of Yahoo Messenger with details
and install packages for:
* RedHat  6.1 , 6.2  , 7.1  and 7.2
* Debian Sid and Woody
* Mandrake 8.1

For those of you using GtkYahoo or something else you may want to check
this out. It has been working well for me so far and is as feature rich
(minus a few things like webcam) as the windows version. If you tried
it before, don't let that influence you too much, because I know that
the old version didn't work and was only available in an RPM. There are
also tgz's if you don't want to do the install.

I use messenger a lot, and like the fact that they finally got on the
ball and get it working properly on Linux.

BTW, I am running RedHat 7.3 on the machine I have been testing it on, I
just used the 7.2 rpm and it worked fine.
