[NTLUG:Discuss] motherboard and memory question

I can't think of good reason why the memory amount is
reported incorrectly either. What I would do is stick
one or more of the new DIMMs in a spare system to see
if they seem to work OK. If the new DIMMs seem to act
the same way on the spare system, then you would know
the mem vendor shipped you the wrong DIMMs. On the
other hand, if the DIMMs do show up with the right
amount on the spare system that may indicate the ECS
motherboard is incorrectly configured or
malfunctioning. Another test you could try is
replacing the new DIMMs on the ECS motherboard with
known good DIMMs to see if you get the correct amount
of memory reported...you get the idea. Hope that
helps.
Cheers,
Bryn
