portforwarding is your friend. Bind the webmin interface to localhost
only, then portforward the necessary port via SSH and you have a secure
connection with good authentication. Webmin does offer SSL, but you
still have the chance for badly written code (see the warning I sent
yesterday) and the opportunity for someone to bruteforce if open to the
outside.
