I do that for browsing the shares themselves... but I couldn't browse the workgroup without the guest entry (Win2k was passing a blank logon credential attempt just to get the browse info... freaky). Might could have done something with setting up accounts and telling it "map to guest = baduser" but didn't have the time at that moment.
