You need to setup StarOffice for network access if you want users to 
share the resources.  IIRC "setup /net" (command line) as root from the 
StarOffice install directory.  Once this is done each user needs to run 
StarOffice Setup (from KDE Menu) choosing network (not local) install. 
This is all in the readme and install docs in the StarOffice package.
