Cool!  Learn something new everyday.  However... :-/  That is only useful if 
you use ext2 or ext3 (I do only for /boot and nothing else, my other 
partitions are reiserfs), plus the man page says:

BUGS AND LIMITATIONS
        As of Linux 2.2, the `c', 's',  and `u' attribute are not honored  by 
  the  kernel  filesystem
        code.    These attributes will be implemented in a future ext2 fs version.

As the RH 7.x distros are 2.2+, that means the "u" option is not not on the 
system.  Or is there another option I'm missing?
