[NTLUG:Discuss] Strange problem with USB printer in RedHat 7.2

Hello:

Has anyone had this problem with a USB printer?

I have an Epson Stylus Color 860 USB printer.
On my RedHat 7.2 machine, I was able to get it working
using printconf-gui to install it.

Everything works fine until I reboot the machine.

During the boot-up, I get a message that lpd cant find
/dev/usb/lp0.

When I try to print something, nothing happens.
When I type lpq, I get a message that lpd cant find /dev/usb/lp0.

If I unplug and re-plug the USB cable to my printer,
everything starts working again.

This is really strange.

Any ideas??
